Why do you need a proxy for Minecraft?
Do not forget that many people prefer to play Minecraft online rather than a single-player campaign, which is why the use of proxies can be a factor in expanding the user’s capabilities. Your connection to the server will become anonymous, which indicates the protection of personal data and faster, which will increase the comfort of the gameplay. You’ll also be able to bypass blocking, mitigate the hassle of connecting to long-distance servers, which increases your ping many times over and reduces the smoothness of the game. Proxies are also convenient for bulk management of your personal accounts. Proxy users have a much greater factor of data security when logging into the Launcher, thanks to which the process of downloading the game and entering it takes place. The use of proxies is also justified by the constant connection of the launcher to the root folder of the game, which can negatively affect the speed of the gameplay in the first minutes after logging into the account. If you do not resort to additional forms of protection, you may discover weaknesses in the account protection system in Minecraft. For example, an attacker or an unknown user will be able to bypass the authorization server, which is why your accounts in the Launcher can be considered hacked. How to set up a proxy for Minecraft?
Thanks to the use of a server, you will be able to log in to Minecraft through the proxy system.
- Find the file that the Launcher allows you to open. It is usually denoted run.exe
- Open Notepad:
- If you are using an http connection, insert the following character string java into Notepad -Dhttp.proxyHost=IP-proxy-Dhttp.proxyPort=PORT-Xmx800m-jar run.exe.
- To connect a proxy with name and password parameters, use a different character series: java -Dhttp.proxyHost= IP proxy -Dhttp.proxyPort= PORT–Dproxy.User=FromProxyName-Dhttp.proxyPassword=PasswordForProxy-Xmx800m-jar run.exe;
- If you are using a SOCKS connection, then you need to enter the following: java -DsocksProxyHost= IP proxy -DsocksProxyPort= PORT-Xmx800m-jar run.exe.
- All changes must be saved and redirected to the folder with the launcher launch file.
- You must install an additional Proxifier application, with which the proxy system will be additionally configured.
- You must open the Profile section to select the Proxy Server function.
- Open a new window and click the Add button.
- Find the Address field where you specify the address of your proxy. In the appropriate field, enter the port value.
- Next, you must select the usage protocol you need.
- The authentication field is used if your proxy requires login and password binding. In this case, use the Enable option. If you use this option, you will need to enter the Username and password of the proxy.
- In Proxification Rules, add a reference to run.exe and java.exe.
- After that, you check the box next to Process Only the following.
- When you’re done, save your changes by clicking OK.
- Thanks to the check button, you can check the correctness and completeness of the actions performed.
