Proxy Server Configuration
Before starting the setup, you need to decide what a proxy server is, which one to use in a particular case, pay or use a free one. In simple words, a proxy is a remote computer to which you send a request, and it addresses it to a resource on the Internet, changing your IP to another. Moreover, you can change not only the IP, but also the country or region of residence. A proxy server is used for various purposes:
- gaining access to blocked resources;
- mass mailing of messages where one IP address is not enough;
- parsing key queries for SEO promotion;
- bypass blocking from Google;
- promotion in social networks;
- When you want to stay anonymous online.
If you decide to use a proxy server, approach the choice carefully.
Types of proxies for Google. Paid or free
When working with a proxy, you need to choose a type that will solve the tasks without causing unnecessary problems. The most commonly used are HTTP, HTTPS, and Socks4 or Socks5 proxies. Their differences are anonymity, data transfer and reception protocols, and other additional functions.
- HTTP allows you to visit web resources, upload and send files through a proxy server. In this case, information that a proxy is being used is transmitted, but the IP address is masked by another.
- HTTPS – uses the SSL security protocol. Data transmission and reception traffic is securely encoded, as a result, it is impossible to find out what information passes through the server. This ensures a high level of anonymity.
- Socks is a transparent anonymous proxy server that reliably protects information. The server you are accessing will not know that a proxy is being used and will not receive your IP address. The stable, currently used versions are Socks4 and Socks5. Provide access to resources that cannot be blocked using HTTP and HTTPS and build proxy chains.
In addition, all proxy servers are divided into paid and free. Their difference is in the number of users, the speed of information transfer, the quality of this transfer and functionality. Free proxies are collective. Several people can use you at the same time, and it is not known what the others are doing and what they are using the proxies for. Accordingly, at any time, you can be blocked or find out that you are in the spam database. Free – slow and non-working options. To get the service, there are individual paid proxies without limitation. Their main difference from free versions is stability, speed, and increased functionality.
